The First Lookout
A narrow clifftop finger of rock reaching out over the Jamison Valley, and the first place the mountains properly open up in front of you. The Three Sisters sit in the distance from an angle almost nobody photographs, and on most mornings you will have the platform to yourselves.
Leura
The Mountain Village
Leura Mall runs downhill beneath an avenue of trees, lined with galleries, providores, bookshops and some of the best cafés in the mountains. It is the natural place to slow down for an hour, and one of the two spots we recommend for lunch.
Echo Point
The Three Sisters
The view everyone comes for, and it earns it. Three weathered sandstone pillars standing out from the escarpment above the Jamison Valley, carrying a Gundungurra story far older than anything European in Australia. We time our arrival to miss the worst of the coach traffic.
Cahill Lookout
Katoomba's Quiet Edge
Minutes from Echo Point and almost always empty. The platform looks west across the Megalong Valley to Narrow Neck and the Boars Head, a wilder and emptier outlook than the one the crowds queue for. This is the kind of stop that only comes with a guide who knows where to turn off.
Govetts Leap
Where the Day Ends
The finish, and for many guests the best of them. From the lookout at Blackheath the Grose Valley falls away in every direction, wild and roadless, with a waterfall spilling straight over the cliff edge beside you. A quiet, enormous view to end on before the drive home.

Featherdale Wildlife Park
Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, and meet koalas, wombats, echidnas and quokkas. A gentle introduction to Australia's native wildlife, and a favourite with families. It sits on the route west, so it costs you little beyond the hour inside.
$49 per adult. Tickets on the day or arranged in advance.
Scenic World
Ride the world's steepest railway into ancient rainforest on the floor of the Jamison Valley, with the Skyway, Cableway and boardwalks included. We add it straight after the Three Sisters.
Worth knowing: most guests spend two to three hours here, sometimes longer. Choosing Scenic World means the day finishes there, so you would trade Cahill Lookout and Govetts Leap for it.
$64 per adult on weekdays, $70 on weekends. Higher over the summer holiday period. Tickets on the day or arranged in advance.

Your Day, Your Way
This is a guide, not a timetable. Because the tour is entirely private, the day is yours to shape. Lunch can be in Leura or Blackheath, Cahill Lookout and Featherdale can be swapped for one another, and if you choose Scenic World we simply finish the day there. Tell your guide what appeals and we will build the day around it.
From $1,200 AUD for two guests. Solo travellers are welcome, and the price covers your entire private group for the full day.

Approximately 8–9 hours from pickup to drop-off. It's designed as a full-day immersive adventure so you can enjoy the region at a relaxed, unhurried pace.
Included is your luxury private vehicle, hotel pickup and drop-off, a fully tailored itinerary, expert local guide, bottled water throughout, and all national park entry fees. Lunch, Featherdale Wildlife Park entry, and Scenic World entry are not included and are available as optional add-ons.
A typical day runs Sublime Point, the village of Leura, Echo Point and the Three Sisters, Cahill Lookout, and Govetts Leap at Blackheath. Featherdale Wildlife Park is an optional stop on the way up, and Scenic World can be added after the Three Sisters. Lunch is in Leura or Blackheath. The order and pace are entirely flexible and shaped around your group.

Yes — pickup and drop-off from hotels or cruise terminals in central Sydney is included. Just let us know your location when booking and we'll coordinate the timing.
Tickets for Scenic World and Featherdale Wildlife Park are not included in the tour price but can be arranged in advance — just let us know when booking and we'll coordinate everything for you.
We adjust the itinerary to focus on sheltered or scenic stops that still deliver a great day. If we decide the weather makes the tour unworkable, you can reschedule or take a full refund with no fee.
Yes, and we do it regularly. Our team is small and every guide has experience looking after guests with limited mobility. Several Blue Mountains lookouts are a short, flat walk from the car park, while others, Sublime Point among them, involve uneven ground and will not suit everyone. Where a stop will not work we substitute another lookout with easier access and a view every bit as good. Tell us what you need when you book and we will plan the route around it.
Cancellations made 10 days or more before the tour are refunded in full. Between 10 days and 48 hours before, you can take a 50% refund or move to another date at no charge. Inside 48 hours the booking is not refundable, though we may still be able to offer you another date. If we cancel for weather or safety, the choice is yours: reschedule, or a full refund.
Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (it can be noticeably cooler in the mountains than Sydney), sunscreen, a hat, and a camera. Layers are useful as mountain weather can change quickly throughout the day.
